Its all about " Intel SABOTAGE" attack

Curious how does "Sabotage " work ?

1st attempt : dedect 5 intel (random target 1-shot killed)
2nd attempt : dedect 10 intel (random target 1-shot killed)
3rd attempt : dedect 15 intel (random target 1-shot killed)
4th attempt : dedect 20 intel (random target 1-shot killed)

Note : Random target is picked by computer - not player choice...it will be ANY one of the enemy defence except those mine or life point...and of course not the HQ CORE

I am assuming there is increment of plus FIVE (+5) intel for every attempt within a single map. Not sure if start new map , the 1st attempt is back to 5 intel cost again ?

It could be good if there are only a few defenses left like a cannon or rocket and maybe you are running out of time, but in my task force i had to demote all officers because 2 idiots went on a spending spree and starting burning intel. I was ok promoting liberally when they couldnt do much damage, but now it is an issue, and have only promoted a couple of people who know better than to spend it all up. To me, it's something a fool or disgruntled officer could easily abuse and so I find it useless so far. "  ~FutureThrowback

Problem Background

Sabotage Bug
We're aware of the sabotage bug where all buildings in a Power Base get healed to full after sabotaging... This is not exactly the outcome we intended a sabotage mission to have!

What we know:
- It only happens on high statue % Power Bases
- You only see it after scouting the base again

What we don't know:
- Precisely what statue % it starts to happen at

What we're doing:
- Trying to fix it, ASAP!

This is the 3rd intel used for same Op as intel inventory is approaching 1K limit

Note  :This is a difficult 540 op which we took 20 attack just to bring down Quantum Base..inclusive these 5 sabotages help
